Country's GDP increased 4.5 times in 14 years: Finance Minister

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said in a discussion meeting on the 48th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day, the country's GDP has increased 4 and a half times in 14 years. GDP increased from $100 billion to $454 billion. Compared to 2009, which is more than 4 and a half times. He also said that the Awami League government has continued development for the last 14 years. He said this at the Awami League party office meeting in Ramghat district of Comilla city on Tuesday (August 15).

At present, the country's per capita income has increased 4 and a half times from 696 dollars to about 2,700 dollars, said the finance minister.

In the discussion meeting, the minister said, Bangabandhu is not just a name, he is awakened history. Bangabandhu's whole life was surrounded by history. As long as this country exists, Bangabandhu will live among Bengalis by virtue of his work.
